Ask Claude or ChatGPT how your year is going, hand it a receipt to book or a bank file to import — and keep the last word on every entry. The connector works with Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code and any other MCP client. ## How it works 1. **Connect.** Add YESbusiness in your client — from its directory, or with the connector address — and sign in with your YESbusiness account. 2. **Choose what it may do.** On the consent screen, pick the companies, a rights level (read, booking with confirmation, or autonomous within an amount cap) and whether your receipt files may be read. 3. **Ask.** The assistant reads your books and prepares entries. With confirmation, you apply each one with a click — on the card in your chat or in the app. Autonomous entries are recorded directly and can be undone at any time. [Read the step-by-step guide](https://www.yesbusiness.ch/en/connect-your-ai-assistant/) ## What the assistant can do Everything in the yearly accounting cycle, with the same role checks and the same company scoping as the app: - Read any figure or report: balance sheet, income statement, account statement, VAT statement, open customer invoices, monthly flows and analyses per account or counterparty. - Export reports and statements as a download link. - Book receipts and bank transactions — with your click, or autonomously under your cap. - Import bank files (CAMT.053, MT940) and spreadsheets of entries, with a check before anything is written. - Apply your booking rules, and manage accounts, VAT codes, VAT periods, cost centres and accounting years, including closing a year. - Explain Swiss bookkeeping conventions — account numbering, VAT codes, booking rules — the way the in-app assistant does. ### What stays in the app, on purpose One-time or security steps are not accounting, so the connector never touches them: - Creating a company and its chart of accounts. - Connecting a bank (EBICS, Wise, Stripe): secrets and bank letters. - Subscription and billing. Nothing is sold through the connector. - Members, invitations and fiduciary mandates. - Deleting a company, and customer invoicing (the connector only reads open receivables). ## Built so you keep control ### Three rights levels, never above your role Read; booking with confirmation, where the assistant prepares and you click; autonomous, where it books directly. A viewer can only grant read access; writing needs an accountant or administrator role. ### An amount cap for autonomous entries You set the maximum per entry when connecting. Above it, the assistant falls back to a proposal you confirm. Autonomous entries never land in a closed year, and the connector never deletes anything. ### Everything listed, everything undoable Each entry written by an assistant carries the client's name and appears in the company's AI activity, where you undo one or many in a click: drafts are deleted, completed entries reversed. ### Your provider processes your data What you ask Claude or ChatGPT goes to Anthropic or OpenAI under their terms, outside the Swiss and EU processing promise of the in-app assistant. Receipt files are shared only if you tick the box. The privacy policy spells it out. ### Logged, with free text kept as a length YESbusiness records each call — tool, company, time, outcome — and stores free text only as its length. Connections can be revoked at any time from Settings → Connected apps. No. It is included in every YESbusiness subscription; no AI plan is needed. You pay your assistant's provider for their service, as you already do. ### Who can connect an assistant? Any user with an active subscription for at least one company. The rights you can grant never exceed your own role: a viewer grants read access only, an accountant or administrator can also allow entries. ### Can the assistant delete or change my books without me knowing? No. It never deletes anything and never writes in a closed year. In the default level every entry waits for your click; in autonomous mode it stays under the cap you set, and everything it writes is listed in the AI activity and can be undone. ### Does the assistant see my receipts? Only if you tick “Allow reading my receipt files” on the consent screen.
